RKS Interactive, Inc. worked with
the executive management of this start-up company to design their
retail Web site. RKS Interactive, Inc. created an e-business architecture
that delivered on the proposed value proposition of both selling
a "Hurricane Preparedness Kit" to those citizens affected by severe
weather and leveraging the "Be Prepared" message into both paid
advertising and sponsorship opportunities with the American Red
Cross, FEMA, and the Weather Channel.
The finished system offers consumers the ability to download important
safety information, and purchase products online. A
shopping cart calculates tax and shipping on the fly, generates
a customer invoice, and sends merchant partners a batch file for
credit card processing. Business
partners are prompted to become a FEMA partner or HurryCare sales
affiliate. A full affiliate commission system has been implemented.
RKS Interactive, Inc. created all public and private web components
including branding, information architecture, systems architecture,
content, visual design, user interface, graphics, and gif animations.
RKS provided all product photography, graphics, HTML, Javascript,
and shopping cart programming for the project.
